I arrived back in Honduras on Sunday. I will be here for a while, working with the kids in the orphanage. If anyone is interested, i will be putting some stories and photos up at http://honduras.robertkern.com/ every now and then.

Today was El día de los Niños. The kids had way too many lollies and cake and piñatas!

I have changed my plans and am flying back to NZ in October, a couple of months early. Things are going really well at the orphanage and its going to be very hard saying goodbye to the kids, but will be nice saying hello to NZ.

Thanks to some donations, we purchased a fridge for the kids yesterday. They haven’t had a working one for months. This is sure to help a lot.

When it rains really hard, the road by my house turns into a river. All that water has to go somewhere and I am near the top of a hill!

I replaced 7 dead light-bulbs in the orphanage a few days ago and the kids beat each other up to get the boxes.
