I have recently been working on transitioning the old Life FM website to Joomla. It is now running on Joomla 1.5 and is much more usable than it previously was. The transition took place in order to bring the website up to pace with modern CMS’s. It was running on a proprietary ASP system.
This is the first step in an evolving world for the Life FM online presence. So keep an eye out for more changes in the future.
One of the key differences with this new website (apart from running Joomla) is that the design of the code behind the design of the site has been moved to CSS rather than using tables for layout. It is a strong belief of mine that websites should not use tables for layouts. However, i do believe they have their place in displaying tabular data – for which they are incredibly useful.
